Internal Air Quality

In recent years there has been a major focus on the working environment IAQ (Indoor air quality) and Wellbeing of staff and visitors of occupied space. This has now become a central focus for many employers, since the Covid 19 Pandemic resulted in the working environment changing from the considered normal to hybrid (agile working) with changes in employees’ approach to working in the office.

In addition, the recent dramatic increase in energy bills has resulted in companies experiencing massive increases in running overheads, one of these main drivers is the current policy of running all primary fresh air plant at 100% as opposed to the considered normal 10%. This increase was recommended to increase the number of air changes per hour and prevent the spread of airborne viruses such as Covid 19 and appears to be the normal running condition in the foreseeable future and in line with both Government and HSE guidance.
