Solar energy is the most abundant energy we have, but it is only useful for some of the day. Normally, solar panels stop producing electricity when the power goes out in order to prevent feedback to the grid. By adding a battery to a solar system, the solar panels keep powering a home and charging the battery – even during a power outage.
Domestic Solar Generation seldom coincides with demand. When this happens, any excess solar power is exported to the national grid resulting in a lost opportunity for savings.
The average home fitted with a solar PV system in the UK exports as much as 60% of its power generated to the grid.
Peak generation from a solar PV system depends of course on a number of factors including the weather, but most of the time it’s at about midday however, the peak energy demand normally occurs mainly in the mornings and evenings.

As well as working better for longer, your TAE BESS will also manage the power usage and ensure that any energy you are selling back to the grid is done at the optimum time, to maximise any income available. Furthermore, you can charge your electric vehicle directly from your BESS and with fuel costs having risen significantly this can be huge saving if you convert to using an EV. The TAE BESS will also take any energy off your car during the peak time and recharge your car during off peak times.
